a craft shop and library stocked mainly with books about Arabian
heritage and history. You can enjoy guided desert safaris, trek
by camel or horse, try archery or see at first hand the ancient
Arabian art of falconry. Excursions to the Hajar Mountains, trips
to nearby towns and dune-driving lessons are also available to
residents.
Your typical day at Al Maha may consist of a pre-breakfast desert drive, followed by a guided trip into the mountains and a leisurely late afternoon swim. Then order dinner, either on your private verandah, in the excellent hotel restaurant or under the crystalline stars amid the splendour of the dunes. |
